A Vietnamese Researcher Got Excellent Poster Presentation Award

March 28th, 2014, Ms. Hoang Hoai Phuong was awarded by Japanese Society for Bacteriology for here excellent presentation at the 87th Annual Meeting of Japanese Society for Bacteriology held at Tokyo. The title of her presentation is "The effect of cefoperazone on intestinal colonization by ESBL-producing Escherichia coli in mice"*, which shows a mouse model examining the effect of antibiotics on intestinal colonization of a ESBL-producing E. coli. Ms. Phuong, who is from Institute of Hygiene and Public Health HCMC, has been taking a PhD course under Prof. Yamasaki’s supervision at Osaka Prefectural University since April 2013. She is one of core Vietnamese microbiologists in the Project and expected to contribute her knowledge and skills to multi-drug resistant bacteria research in Vietnam.
