MSc Degree Defense
On Oct. 2, 2015, Ms. Tran Thi Thu Suong has completed her thesis defense for Master of Science degree at Can Tho University (CTU). Ms. Suong, whose major is food technology at the College of Agriculture and Applied Biology of CTU, has made the effort to study about anti-microbial resistance (AMR) and those analytical technique through project activities, a short-term training course in Japan and local training courses in Vietnam. Since one of her interests is to solve food hygiene/safety issues in Vietnam, she has focused on a characteristics of AMR (ESBL-producing E.coli) in food production and studied phylogenetics, anti-microbial susceptibility testing, and DNA fingerprinting on ESBL. Her thesis was highly evaluated and got a high score from the examiners.
